It was originally designed by Geoffrey Bawa but has been substantially upgraded and added to on the last couple of years making it a fantastic 5 star hotel. Of particular note is the pool, which wends its way through the many palm trees and is said to be the largest in SE Asia.

]]> Rock Villa is a beautiful converted 170 year-old Walauwa (Manor House) which sits in 2.5 acres of tropical gardens. Having been a totally renovated and upgraded very recently, together with the addition of a new wing that sits very sympathetically with the old building, this now provides very elegant accommodation with a modern twist. The single train track running at the site running at the bottom of the garden is hidden out of sight by the mass of luxuriant foliage, and is simple to cross over for a beach stroll or sea swim. It has proved to be very popular with our Honeymooners.

]]> This hotel was originally a colonial bungalow dating back to the 19th century but having been renovated it is now an extremely elegant boutique hotel which retains many of its original architectural features but does have a very contemporary feel to it with the use of black, white and natural colours. The 2 acres of gardens are shaded by many tropical trees, and there is a long slate lined the pool to relax by. The main Colombo to Galle railway runs between the end of the gardens and the beach- some can find this intrusive. The beach is a short walk away
